Our secret weapon

This year for Thanksgiving my family is having a Wii American Idol/Rock band tournament. So that being said, my mom called last night to tell me that Lexi has been practicing American Idol and she is going to kick our trash (due to her phenomenal scores) and take home the championship. I'm sure her scores are great, but we've got our own little singer in the Monson family that may just give Lex a run for her money...

Be afraid Lex, be very afraid :O)

Oh Thais-ee, How I love you!

Thais, today your stuffy nose and cold made you a little ornery, and I'll admit you tried my patience a time or two...or three. But now your tucked safely in your little bed for the night, and funny how my thoughts of the day are only about how much I love you. So here are just some little things that I love about my Thaisee..

I love it when you radomly lift up my shirt so you can blow on my belly and say, "Hi Skyler!"

I Love that on the way home for Trader Joes you were sad, and asked me to hold your hand. Just so you know, I didn't let go of your hand the entire way home even when you drifted off to sleep.

I LOVE your smile! Someday hearts will break over that infectious grin (you already break your daddy's)

I love that you have my body. There is so much of Jordan in your face but as I watch your little naked body running around ( we're potty training...enough said :O) I totally get a kick of watching a tiny version of my legs jump off our furniture and doing summer saults on the carpet.

I love that you love chocolate milk as much as me. The other day you said, "mom, I want some chocolate chip milk" Yahoo for chocolate chip milk!

I love your passion! My greatest success as a mother will be channeling that passion toward doing great things and being a strong person.

I have to cut my list short because daddy just got home, but I LOVE that the first thing he did when he walked in the door, was sneak in your room so he could whisper that he loves you.

My good deed for the day.

My Friend Laura makes this AMAZING pudding dessert that I adore, and the other night she made me my very own Tupperware full. I decided selfishly that I would eat the whole thing and not share because... I'm totally pregnant and I can do that.
But then Thais saw me just as I was about to inhale the last of it and I decided to share with her because I love her way more than my delicious pudding dessert.

I think it made her happy!

When did Counting Crows decide to entirely change their music?

Last night my main squeeze and I went to the Maroon5/ Counting Crows concert in Phoenix. I bought these tickets for Jordan's birthday because we've always wanted to go to a Counting Crows concert together, and Maroon5 was just kind of a bonus..Well it was a good thing Maroon 5 was there (they were awesome actually) because Counting Crows BOMBED. You know it's bad when the final act starts preforming and people start leaving in droves. Jordan and I stayed for like three or four of their songs and then decided to leave because 1. Though they were singing hits, it took us almost the entire song to even recognize what he was singing.
2. Some teenage kids decided to start smoking pot right by us as Counting Crows started and I was worried that Skyler was pretty much getting high.
Anyhoo, I think Adam Duritz must be sick of singing the same ole' songs and has decided to add this weird interpretive element to his music...But that's not what made you famous Adam, so stick to the Raw good stuff that we all know and love! That being said, Maroon 5 rocked!
