Last brownie for the saddest (motherhood) act

Remember the scene in Notting Hill, where everyone competes for the last brownie by telling how sad their lives are? Well, if we were telling sad motherhood stories I think I would win the brownie today. I will spare everyone the long details, but the short version goes something like this:

Danielle attempts to shop with two tired kids.
Thais is running around, crazy, all over the store.
Danielle is holding her crying baby while desperately trying to find her three year old.
Danielle puts extremely agile baby in car seat unbuckled to grab the running three year old.
Danielle turns to the sound of a piercing cry, baby has rolled out of the car seat in the stroller, and is face down on the floor.
Baby now has swollen bloody lips and blood pouring from his nose.
Danielle, Thais and Skyler all have a really good cry in front of all fellow shoppers.

I totally win that stinkin' brownie!

Don't Mess With Texas

So it's official! We are moving to Dallas for the summer to Mess with Texas ...or so Jordan can try his hand at selling alarms. It all just worked out perfectly, we have an awesome girl managing our gym for us, we were able to keep our job at Waldorf (Jordan does book keeping for them) and we have wonderful friends and neighbors that can watch over our little house for us while we're gone. It makes me sad to leave friends and our home for so long but here the highlights:

1. I get to hang out with Jordan's cousin, Sarah all summer. She is such a cute girl and I am so glad I will have a friend :O)



2. This is where I get to live:









3. A free gym membership!! Maybe I will FINALLY lose some baby weight :O)




4. A temple in my city! I LOVE going through new temples and this will be a new one for me :O)

I love Dessy...Oh, and I also cut my hair!

It was so much fun having Odessa visit me all the way from NYC! Having her out here made me realize how much I stinkin' miss this woman! She is one of the funniest people I know...it was SO good to catch up with you Odessa!

My Birthday Girl

The night before Thaisee's birthday Jordan and I blew up like 65 balloons and put them all over her room so she would wake up to a fun surprise! The funny part is Thais ended up sleeping with us. She crawled into our bed at like 2:00 in the morning and had no idea the balloons were there. It was still fun to show her the room though :O)

Sunday Morning Pancakes

Now that we have church a bit later we like to make a big breakfast as a family. This past Sunday we decided to make apple cinnamon pancakes. In our family pancakes are not just plain circles..They are my husband's creative outlet!

Here is Thais's pancake. She thought the chocolate chip eyeball was awesome!

Jordan decided to change things up for himself and rather than making the patented Air Jordan or Nike swoosh, he decided to go with Mickey.

* The recipe is for waffles but it's the same for pancakes as well. We just poured apple sauce on our pancakes to make them "apple" cinnamon.
