Elmo Birthday Bash

My friend Jenn and I decided to celebrate our kids birthday's together this year because they are only a couple of weeks apart. We decided Elmo would be a great boy/girl theme and would be really easy..

This is a banner I made for the party. I was just impressed that my mess of red construction paper actually turned out looking like Elmo!

Jayden, with the two birthday kiddo's. Jenn found these darling Birthday Girl and Birthday Boy badges at Target. They both felt SO cool when we pinned them on :O)

Jenn made these adorable Elmo cupcakes...

Thais totally snuck one early!

I had to laugh because this is what the poor cupcake looked like after Thais got hold of it. How creepy is cyclopse Elmo!

For activities we had painting...

Food..

And a pinata! Funny Story: Thais didn't really love the pinata. She gave Elmo a couple of light taps when it was her turn, and then she got really sad as she watched the bigger kids beating the crud out of Elmo. She went up to my friend Nadia and said, "Elmo, sad?" My friend told me later that she looked really worried about Elmo and was so sad he was being hit. I love what a tender heart Thais has!

Singing Happy Birthday!

I just love my Birthday Girl!

Withdrawls

I logged on to NBC.com today and found out that The Office will be back April 10th..Yipee!!

Here are a few of my favorite quotes:

Michael Scott: Why would somebody ruin a perfectly good carpet? I don't know. Could be done out of hate. Could be done out of love. It could be completely neutral. Maybe somebody hates the cleaning lady, and well she doesn't do a very good job obviously because my office still reeks like you would not believe. I hate her. You know what, I am beginning to think that what happened to my carpet was an act of terrorism, against the office. The only thing that makes any sense

Michael Scott: My proudest moment here wasn't when I increased profits by 17%, or cut expenditure without losing a single member of staff. No no no. It was a young Guatamalan guy, first job in the country, barely spoke a word of English, but he came to me and said "Mr. Scott, will you be the godfather to my child?" Didn't work out in the end. We had to let him go. He sucked

Dwight Schrute: Someone forged medical information, and that's a felony.Jim Halpert: OK, Whoa, alright 'cause that's a pretty intense accusation. How do you know that they're fake?Dwight Schrute: [reading from a sheet] Uh, Leprosy, Flesh Eating Bacteria, Hot Dog Fingers, Government Created Killer Nano Robot Infection.

Michael Scott: You don't call retarded people retards. It's bad taste. You call your friends retards when they are acting retarded. And I consider Oscar a friend.

Michael Scott: I have got it made in the shade. I know this company. The other branch managers are total morons. [calls Pam on his cell phone] Hey Pam, yeah. I forgot what day the interview was and I drove to New York accidentally. Be like three hours late.

Jim Halpert: I miss Dwight. Congratulations, universe. You win.

Dwight Schrute: Jim, could you please inform Andy Bernard that he is being shunned?Jim Halpert: Andy, Dwight says welcome back and he could use a hug.Dwight Schrute: Okay, tell him that that's not true.Jim Halpert: Dwight says that he actually doesn't know one single fact about bear attacks.Dwight Schrute: Okay, no, Jim, tell him bears can climb faster than they can run. [Andy walks away] Jim! Tell him!Jim Halpert: Andy...nah, he's too far.Dwight Schrute: Damn you.

Michael Scott: Yes. Money has been a little tight lately. But, at the end of my life, when I'm sitting on my yacht, am I gonna be thinking about how much money I have? No. I'm going to be thinking about how many friends I have, and my children, and my comedy albums. I mean, I have a yacht, so I obviously did pretty well money wise.

Easter in St. George

We had such a great Easter with Jordan's Family. Thais was really excited to see her Nana and Papa and as an added bonus, she got to spend time with her aunt Nanners, unkee Ben and aunt Molly

This is a picture of Nana teaching Thais all about the true meaning of Easter...

She taught why the egg is symbolic ..

Thais was so cute because through out the whole lesson she kept nodding very intently whenever she was asked a question and she sat very still and listened to the whole thing.
She loved Nana's Easter lesson!

After the lesson, Nana gave Thais an Easter Basket with a cute little bunny and told her that she could go find the candy that was hidden in the back yard.

Is this the best day of Thais's life or what? There was candy EVERYWHERE :O)

Thais was very meticulous in making sure she got every last piece of candy.

Aunt Marianne helping her find another spot with candy..

After the Easter Egg Hunt we went to Grandma Allred's and had an egg rolling contest. We all had a blast and it was fun to participate in the traditions that Jordan did when he was little. Nana always makes everything so fun!

Congratulations Kim and David!

Kim and David were married March 14, and this is a picture of the whole gang (Minus Landon Clark and little Calvin Moala who will be born in June).

Just the siblings...

Mom and David striking a pose!

Kim and David playing the, "Shoe Game." The way it works is they each had to exchange one shoe and then put one groom shoe and one bride shoe on each of their hands. At that point they were asked a serious of questions, for example, "Who is most excited for the wedding night? or Who will be doing the dishes?" The purpose is to then raise the shoe of the person they feel the question applies to (David's shoe representing him and Kim's shoe representing her). In case you are all wondering the outcome of the question, 'who is the most excited for the wedding night' both of David's shoes shot enthusiastically in the air :O)

Jordan was the MC for the shoe game...He did such a great job (plus I got to sit and check him out all night in his studly suit..I'm a lucky girl I tell ya!)

Thais going to town on the cake with my Cousins daughter, Emme! I am told the cake was amazing, but I'm still sticking to my no dessert gig! It's been over a month...Thank you, Thank you hold the applause :O)

Me and beautiful Odessy! This picture causes me to think that it's time for a tan :O)

Mele was the flower girl. She did such a great job (plus she was the cutest flower girl i've ever seen!)

A picture of the happy couple. The wedding was a blast and we are so happy to have Kim officially part of the family!

Gladden Farms Easter Party

Our little community out here in Marana has an Easter party every year, so we got festive this year with Thais's Easter dress.

I found these snazzy flower clips on Rachel's blog and I decided give it a try. They are really easy and pretty darn cute!

From the looks of this picture you would think Thais was not a fan of the Easter Bunny, but actually she ran and sat on his lap like ten times...Perhaps it was for the free candy they were handing out at that booth!

Not the best picture, but this is Jayden, Tyler, and Thais taking a ride in the little train they had there.

Again, not the best picture. Cole, one of my cub scouts, took Thais down the slide a few times for me. She had a blast!

Just Like Mike..

I

This was Jordan's Christmas present to Thais, and he get's so excited every time we break it out and have Thais shoot some hoops! I think he's hoping that maybe the life-size poster we have of Micheal Jordan will one day rub off on one of our kids!

2090: The cure for Eczema

So, earlier on my blog I posted a plea to help cure my eczema, and I finally went to the doctor and received some not so comforting news. He gave me the same steroid ointment he prescribed the last time (which didn't really work) and when I told him this, along with the fact that my hands are actually getting worse, he told me, "There actually isn't a real cure for eczema...Maybe in 2090 we'll have a cure but we sure don't now." So there you have it folks, in 2090 my hands will finally be healed ( Of course by then I'll be 109 yrs old and if still living, I suspect I won't really give a darn what my hands look like anyway).
